Overcoming Procrastination with EFT

EFT is a quick and effective tool that you can use to help you in overcoming procrastination at home, at work or in your business.

If you're in your own home based business, being the CEO can be very rewarding but it can also be very challenging. Promoting and marketing yourself and your products or services can be uncomfortable, especially when you’re first starting out or when you're moving to a new level in your business.

The same is true for personal goal setting because it means stepping out of your "comfort zone" which can bring up fear and self doubt and lead to procrastination and self sabotage or avoidance behaviour.

So with that in mind, here are a few EFT scripts and set ups to help you in overcoming procrastination and avoidance behaviour, to get you back into action and on your way to building self confidence.

Use all the following EFT scripts and apply one or two full rounds of EFT or choose just the ones that resonate with you.

Remember to write down your problem or issue and rate how distressing it is for you on the 0-10 scale before beginning.


EFT Scripts For Overcoming Procrastination

Even though I just can’t seem to get started [on what specifically] -- I don't have the drive or the inclination -- I accept my feelings and this conflict.

Even though I may not have the skills needed for the task, I want to accept myself anyway.

Even though I expect myself to be perfect and it stops me from accomplishing what I need to do, I want to accept myself anyway.

Even though I just don’t want to do it, I do want to accept myself and my feelings.

Even though I’m afraid I might fail, I want to accept myself.

Even though I have a fear of success, I want to accept myself and my fears anyway.

Even though I know I won’t do all the tasks on my list today, I do want to accept myself without judgment.


EFT Scripts For
Overcoming Procrastination Around Self Promotion

Even though the truth is I'm just not good enough, I do want to accept myself and my feelings.

Even though I need more [training, confidence, etc] before I can promote myself or my business, I do want to accept myself without judgment.

Even though I'm afraid to put myself out there -- look what happened last time, -- I do want to accept myself and my feelings.

Even though I am really afraid to fail at my [goal, business, sport], I want to accept myself and my fears.

Even though I'll be devastated if I fail again, I accept myself and my feelings anyway.

Even though I am worried about what others think of me and my [goal, business, sport], I am choosing to move ahead anyway.

Even though there is a part of me that's afraid if I become TOO successful, that [I'll lose my family, have too much responsibility, won't be able to handle it, won't know who I am] there's another part of me that wants to succeed, and I love and accept both parts.
